Under the new ownership of the Mueller family from Tampa, Florida, as of November 2023, we’re stirring up the nostalgia you’ve always loved about Rodeo Whip while adding our own sprinkle of excitement. With a successful ice cream brand, Dairy Joy, delighting South Tampa since 1958, we’re thrilled to blend our family’s expertise with Rodeo Whip’s cherished tradition.

Keeping the Rodeo Whip name, we’re infusing the charm of a 1950s ice cream parlor with a Western twist. Imagine stepping into a scene from an old western movie but with the sweet aroma of ice cream – that will be the new Rodeo Whip experience!

Our vision is to transform Rodeo Whip into THE family fun destination in DeLand. Picture an outdoor eating garden, a dedicated party room, and fun new menu items that’ll have you coming back for more. And yes, we’re wrangling up improvements too – starting with the drive-thru times!

From Joyce Doolittle’s original vision to today’s new horizon, Rodeo Whip continues to evolve. We’re dedicated to serving up delightful homemade ice cream, soft serve, sundaes, and shakes.
